      Some of the best universities for VLSI are:
      1. Cornell University - Known for advanced research in nanoscience & nanofabrication.

      2. University of Michigan, Ann Arbor - Specialties include Analog Circuits, Data converters
      Digital circuits, Energy harvesting, Hardware DSP implementation, Low power circuits, RF circuits, Sensing systems

      3. University of California, San Diego - Have a specific VLSI CAD Lab under Prof Andrew Kahng; research focus includes cost-effective design for networking, bioinformatics etc.
