Always use the given equation to solve the question, especially in Algebra.
Don’t try to guess unless you are absolutely thorough. So, using the given inequality,
x^2 - 36 > 0
So, x^2 > 36
Now, in order for x^2 to be greater than 36,the value of x must be greater than 6 or -6.
It cannot be equal to 6 or -6 either.
Now, the question asks you to choose options which cannot be the value of x i.e, which do not satisfy the given inequality.
Therefore, from our calculations, we must choose only those options for which the value of x is lesser than or equal to 6 or -6. From the given options, 8 is greater than 6 and -5 is greater -6.
Hence, answers A, C, D & F are the right answers.
If you chose options B and E, then it’s possible that you didn’t read the question carefully.
