GRE Registration
First things first, create an ETS account on the ets.org/GRE® page.
- Your first name must be the given name in your passport and your last name should be your surname that is mentioned on your passport.
- You will be redirected to the MY GRE® home page, where you can find the My Tests option among multiple other options.
- This option will help you fix the location and date of your GRE®.
- After checking and confirmation you will have to update your information as per your passport.
- After this you will be navigated to the GRE® Search Services page, which is a free service provided by ETS and it is recommended that you select the Yes option.
- You will then be asked to enter your background and educational details, at the end of which you will be taken to the check out page where you will have to pay the registration fee of $205
Before you register for your GRE® make sure you have a checklist review the following checklist to familiarize yourself with the various policies, available services and registration options.
- Test Fee. As mentioned in the previous block, the test fee for Indian aspirants is $205 which is roughly about INR14,500. This is not a small amount so make arrangments for it well ahead of your test.
- Read the reschedule and cancellation policies, just in case.
- Make sure you have a valid ID proof while appearing for your GRE® which has the same first name and last name that you used while creating your ETS account. Also, check the documents that you need to carry to the test center.
- Make your mind when you want to take your GRE®. The Computer-based test is offered year-round. You need to book yourself a slot on your preferred date and location. Note that slots are allocated on a first-come-first-serve-basis.
- Ensure you have enough time to complete the rest of your University application process. Plan your GRE® test accordingly.
- You can send your GRE® score up to four universities for free. So make up your mind on the universities that you wish to apply to.
